SUMMARY:NatureKid To-Go Kit: Backyard Bird Count - 4 KITS LEFT!
DESCRIPTION:It’s the Great Backyard Bird Count weekend! Become a citizen scientist by helping to collect data on the birds in your backyard\, in your neighborhood\, or in any location of your choosing. This kit includes all the materials you will need to complete the project\, as well as links to the Great Backyard Bird Count website to submit your data. Recommended for ages 4+ with caregiver participation.    \n CLICK HERE for more information on the Great Backyard Bird Count.  The project takes places February 18-21. Kits must be picked up during their scheduled pick-up date/time.  \nTo-go kits are scheduled to be picked up from the Garden\, and completed at home*.  The selected registration time on the ticket designate the pick-up time for the to-go kit.  Know before you go information will be sent out a day or two before the pick-up date/time with specific instructions on how to collect the kit. \n *Each kit includes instructions on how to access additional materials on Google Classroom.  \n Price for NBG Members:  $10/kit \n Price for Not-yet Members: $15/kit

DESCRIPTION:Learn how the the Powhatan people adapted to survive in their environment by reviewing their tools\, housing structures\, and the plants and animals found in the Coastal Virginia Region. Each learning kit includes materials to start a  three sisters garden . Recommended for ages 7-12 with some caregiver participation.  \n This virtual program includes hands-on materials that are scheduled to be picked-up from the Garden on Friday\, February 18\, and a live 45-minute virtual component through Zoom on Tuesday\, February 22 at 10AM\, 1PM\, and 3PM.  \n THE TICKETED DATE IS THE DATE/TIME YOU MUST COME TO NORFOLK BOTANICAL GARDEN TO PICK-UP YOUR VIRTUAL PROGRAM SUPPLIES. THE VIRTUAL PROGRAM REQUIRES THE USE OF ZOOM\, AND IS SCHEDULED TO TAKE PLACE ON TUESDAY\, FEBRUARY 22 .
