DESCRIPTION:Do you know the difference between a vertebrate animal and an invertebrate animal? Join us to the learn what it means to be vertebrate\, then go on an exploratory walk to look for vertebrate critters in the Garden. Recommended for children ages 6-10 with some chaperone assistance. All attending adults and children are required to have a registered ticket.\n REGISTRATION INFORMATION: \n All participating children must have a paid\, pre-registered ticket to attend the program. \n Adults must have a registered ticket\, including all free Member adult tickets. \n Dressing for the weather and wearing comfortable walking shoes are recommended. \n Tickets must be pre-registered. Walk-up tickets may not be available. \n Program tickets include Garden admission. \n Chaperones are responsible for behavior of their attending child. \n Price for NBG Members:  $12/Child. (Adult members may attend for free with a registered child). \n Price for Not-yet Members: $20/Child and $20/Adult. (Tickets for class must be purchased for both children and adults and includes daytime admission to NBG). \n All child class participants ages 3+ must have a registered ticket. Children ages 2 and under who are attending to participate in the class must have a registered ticket.

To be added to the waitlist please email registrar@nbgs.org.  \nIn this class we will discuss the geography and development of different classes of roses\, including species roses and hybrids\, their incredible diversity and their uses in the garden. Using flowers cut in the NBG gardens\, we will consider flower shape\, perfume\, color and growth from miniatures to gigantic ramblers. Those with younger children will be directed to register for either the Homeschool Garden Science or the Little Sprout Explorers series.  \n Price for NBG Members:  $15/Child. (Adult members may attend for free with a registered child). \n Price for Not-yet Members: $23/Child and $20/Adult.
