SUMMARY:Fairy & Gnome Summer Homes
DESCRIPTION:Make the perfect miniature summer home for the fairies and gnomes in your garden! Each fairy garden includes an air plant! Recommended for ages 5+ with some chaperone assistance. Due to the use of small decorative items for the fairy gardens\, it is recommended that no children under 5 years old participate.   All attending adults and children are required to have a registered ticket.\n REGISTRATION INFORMATION: \n All participating children must have a paid\, pre-registered ticket to attend the program. \n All attending adults must have a registered ticket\, including all free Member adult tickets. \n Dressing for the weather and wearing comfortable walk shoes are encouraged. \n Walk-up tickets the day of the program may not be available. \n Program tickets include Garden admission. \n Price for NBG Members:  $14/child. Adult members may attend for free with a registered child. \n Price for Not-yet Members: $22/child and $20/adult. Tickets for class must be purchased for both children and adults and includes daytime admission to NBG. \n Children under 3 years old are not required to have a ticket; however\, a ticket must be registered if children under 3 years old are participating in the program.

DESCRIPTION:Come learn about moths with an indoor presentation slideshow of many local moths and how to attract them. There will also be mounted specimen displays of both local and tropical moths as well as live moth caterpillars. A Q and A session will follow the presentation. Participants will then move outside to see what species of moths are attracted to sheets using both UV and mercury vapor lights. A bait station will also be set up for moths that are not particularly attracted to lights and the use of a backlight flashlight will be shown as a way to locate caterpillars. $20 ($30 for not-yet-members) Register Online
