DESCRIPTION:Learn the art of nature journaling with Youth Programs Specialist\, Jennifer Erving. Each session will include instruction on drawing and documenting a nature-related theme in a new area of the garden\, from bird observation to aquatic habitats. Participants will be encouraged to continue the practice outside of class and be given the opportunity to share their journaling experiences. Using two wonderful books by Joel Harper\, discover the answer to the question does trash left on the ground really go all the way to the ocean ?\, explore what a watershed is\, and create something out of materials that have been discarded as trash. Along the way\, we will find alternatives to some of the plastics that we use and discard every day. This is an in-person program that is free with Garden admission. Pre-registration required.\n Additional Information on our Free Programs: \n All participating children must have a pre-registered ticket to participate in the program. \n Adult chaperones must attend with participating children – drop offs are not permitted. \n This program will take place outdoors. Notification will be sent to participants of any/all location changes. \n All tickets must be pre-registered.
