Families will hear an original tale about a boy who ventures to the river with a pelican looking for treasure noted on a map he found floating in a bottle. Together they’ll learn how the river has changed over time\, and what they can do to help to find a solution to the pollution. Geo-art activity follows utilizing maps. SUMMARY:CANCELED- Youth Nature Journaling Series
DESCRIPTION:Learn the art of nature journaling with Youth Programs Specialist\, Jennifer Erving. Each session will include instruction on drawing and documenting a nature-related theme in a new area of the garden\, from bird observation to aquatic habitats. Participants will be encouraged to continue the practice outside of class and be given the opportunity to share their journaling experiences. Recommended for grades 2-5.  Parent chaperones are encouraged to participate in the lessons to assist their child with completing nature journaling at home!  \n The Nature Journaling Series is a NBG Member exclusive program. Series includes 5 lessons over a 6-week period\, a nature journal\, supplies for in-class use\, and take-home instruction for any sessions that are missed.\n Series Dates: \n Wednesday\, September 29 \n Wednesday\, October 6 \n NO PROGRAM ON OCTOBER 13  \n Wednesday\, October 20 \n Wednesday\, October 27 \n Wednesday\, November 3 \n MEMBER EXCLUSIVE PRICE: $50/child for the series.
